Two of the Ethels that I am yet to bag are located in this area, Snailsden Pike End and Dead Edge End. Neither has ever really appealed to me, but I was prepared to give them a chance and explore somewhere new. This is a challenging 9 mile walk over rugged, bleak moorland where good navigation skills are essential, especially in bad weather. I love exploring this part of the Peak District.
