I attribute this to 3 main aspects: 1. faster leveling, 2. more interesting skill tree options and builds, and 3. higher legendary drop rates, allowing me to experiment and just fuck around with new toys on a regular basis. Mayhem mode can be very fun too, if you get challenging mods.

Like in BL2, I could swap up certain guns for different builds on characters and it still worked and was fun, but in BL3 I can just use the same guns on just about every build on every character and it feels the same.
